About

Basic 1 is a foundational level focused on reading all Tamil alphabets and words using the Nasan Ayya 32 cards system, alongside writing practice. Listening and speaking skills are developed in alignment with NCSSFL can-do statements. Students learn to recognise and produce all basic Tamil characters before progressing to word-level reading.

The free Read Tamil app (iOS & Android) is a recommended companion resource for at-home practice.
