Bilingual Seal Program

The Minnesota Bilingual Seal is awarded by the MN Department of Education to students who demonstrate advanced proficiency in a heritage language. MNTS has been the leading partner for Tamil:

• 37 students from 7 school districts have earned the seal (2016–2022).
• Three levels: Proficiency Certificate, Gold Seal, and Platinum Seal.
• MNTS college scholarships: $800 (Proficiency), $1,000 (Gold), $1,200 (Platinum).
• First Tamil school in the US to offer scholarships tied to the Bilingual Seal.
