What Makes the MNTS Syllabus Different

NCSSFL & ACTFL Aligned

Every level maps to a specific ACTFL proficiency benchmark and follows NCSSFL can-do statements for Listening, Speaking, Reading, and Writing.

11 Proficiency Levels

From Mazhalai (Introduction) for youngest learners through Bilingual (Advanced Low) — each level builds on the last through structured LSRW skill development.

Unit-Based Approach

Intermediate levels (Units 1–18) use a unit-based structure so students can catch up within a semester rather than waiting a full year.

IPA Assessment

All levels are assessed using Integrated Performance Assessment (IPA) patterns — evaluating real-world language use across interpretive, interpersonal, and presentational modes.

OpenLMS Integration

All curriculum materials are available on the MNTS OpenLMS platform, with guest access for most levels — enabling self-paced and remote learning alongside in-person classes.
