LSRW Curriculum Aid
Any Tamil school worldwide can use MNTS Listening and Speaking content to supplement its existing curriculum — especially for students pursuing standardized proficiency assessments and the Seal of Biliteracy.
Why this exists
Over 300 Tamil schools across the US — and hundreds more in Europe — teach Tamil with traditional paper/printed-book models strong in Reading and Writing but lacking formal Listening and Speaking instruction. Since L/S can't be delivered effectively on paper, many schools can't prepare students for the ACTFL-aligned Bilingual Seal assessment — now recognized in 49 of 50 US states. MNTS makes its full LSRW content available to any school, teacher, or student — no affiliation, registration, or fees — specifically to close this gap.
What's available
- Listening (Interpretive) — IPA-format exercises using authentic audio/video, for Basic 3 through Units 1–18.
- Speaking (Interpersonal & Presentational) — scenario-based activities for all 11 levels.
- Reading (Interpretive) — IPA-format exercises using authentic texts, for Basic 3 through Units 1–18.
- Writing (Presentational) — scenario-based prompts for various proficiency levels.
