Digital Learning — In-Person Classes

For in-person Tamil schools where teachers use digital tools for instruction. Students may or may not have devices in class; homework is fully online.

With authenticated OpenLMS access

• Intermediate levels (Units 1–18): fully paperless when students bring a device.
• Basic levels (Mazhalai–Basic 3): print 1–2 worksheet pages/week; the teacher uses OpenLMS for instruction.
• All homework for all levels is submitted through OpenLMS.
• LSRW assessments can be administered digitally in person, or on printed paper copies.

With guest access

• Speaking/Writing are teacher-driven in-class interactions — students use paper for responses.
• Interpretive Reading/Listening: students use a personal/school device via guest login.
• Students practice independently — not tracked under guest access.

Assessment (guest access)

• Assessments are not available under guest login.
• To receive LSRW assessments, email coursedirector@mntamilschool.org — shared once per semester per teacher.

Recommended student device

• The same device the student uses at their regular weekday school.
• A familiar OS and access reduce navigation issues and avoid restrictions common on parent-owned devices.
• Acceptable: iPad, Mac, Chromebook, Windows laptop. Read-only tablets are fine for reading/listening.
