Elements
Professional learning is learner-centered, designed around the principles that professional staff members need opportunities to focus on improving pedagogical skills and knowledge to better address learners’ needs and interests.
A documented process to select, deliver, implement, and evaluate professional learning is being implemented.
Evidence
Evidence 1: Review the “teacher training” section (https://www.mntamilschool.org/professional-development/) in the Tamil School website to understand most recent formal professional development and learning initiatives. The training covers various knowledge areas including language proficiency, Instruction methodology, curriculum, assessments, learning management system and technology infrastructure. The trainings and enablement are administered through various modes; academic graduation, professional training, certification, induction, knowledge sharing and collaboration. These programs are widespread all through the school year. The training and enablement plan has been devised inline to the professional development objectives, future facing road map, individualized learning needs.
