Evidence
Evidence 1: Assessment methodology (https://www.mntamilschool.org/grading/) describes the progression on the assessments. Since adopting IPA (Integrated Performance Assessment) pattern for assessments, the students were able to relate this with other language learning patterns in public school. Through “Student World of Words”, Students take direct responsibility to find out words for their real-world usage, practice writing them, pronounce them and put them use for creative writing and speaking. The rubrics shared for LSRW skills allows students to understand on how their work is assessed. With these we do not expect the students to make additional preparation for the end of semester assessments but put the language they learnt to use impromptu. The learning targets based on proficiency levels and can-do statements make each student to understand and relate them easily. Students shared feedback that they could understand how they are being assessed.
Evidence 2: Parents-teachers conference (https://www.mntamilschool.org/parent-handbook/) describes on how this medium is used for teachers to share the proficiency levels of the students and for the Parents/Students to share the feedback on the curriculum, instruction methodology, tools and process. Students above K6 makes active and meaningful interventions through these conferences. Teachers cascade these in their respective level teacher groups, syllabus committee and leadership and so those are accounted in refining the learning content and the process.
Evidence 3: Student perception data scores 65% favorability towards learners centricity. https://www.mntamilschool.org/perception-data/
